Salvage Crew Reaches Cargo Ship Spilling Oil
In New Zealand on October 5, a cargo ship carrying oil spilled hundreds of tons of if just off New Zealand. The ship had ran into a reef off of the coast. A salvage crew was able to board the ship and are now trying to pump the rest of the oil from the ship before it breaks up and spills into the ocean. So far, about 88 containers of oil have fallen off the deck. I think that this was a really interesting article, because there has been so many oil spills in the oceans. Hopefully the workers can get most of the oil from the ship before it spills into the ocean.
